If you’ve never had a photo shoot before- or, more specifically, if you’ve never had a photo shoot with me, here’s some information that will help you out.
Expect…
…to spend two hours taking photographs.
…to be outside if at all possible. Cloudy or overcast? Great! Better light! Raining? What could be cuter than a kid with an umbrella and golashes? Snow? Make snowmen! Hailing/Sleet? Okay, we’ll discuss going inside.
…to be in some photos yourself.
…the unexpected! Each person is different, so each session is different! Go with it and have fun!
Prepare beforehand…
…by making sure your child is well fed and well rested. Happy kids make good photographs! We should plan the session around nap and meal times. Consider bringing extra snacks just in case.
…by bringing props to make the session unique and interesting.
…by packing extra clothes for outfit changes, for variety and emergencies.
…by thinking of a concept- what do you want this session to be like? What do you want the photos to convey? I can shoot an activity- painting/coloring, riding bikes, walking in the park, eating ice cream, picnicing, etc. Keep in mind that photographs should capture who your child is and what your child loves.
Ordering
Three days after your session-if not before- I will send you link to your photos. Each photo will have a number. Email me with the number of the print and the size you want along with your home address.
I will order the pictures and have them shipped to you. It’s that easy!
